Jennifer

My webmistress Jennifer is an amazing person. She worked for me when she was in college and now teaches math to 7th graders. Anyone who can teach 7th graders is already amazing in my book! She is the most "can do" person that I know.

Lately, life has presented Jennifer many challenges, but she meets them head on. She had a difficult pregnancy, her home was burned down in a recent Los Angeles fire, her husband has been hospitalized for more than 2 months. But Jennifer continues to amaze me with her strength, her sense of humor and her ability to live life.

Jennifer started a blog when the twins were born. What it boils down to is that this blog is a love letter to her family. She has very little time for herself and her blog is a way of taking some time each day to remember. She likes digital scrapbooking and includes much of that look and feel in the blog.

If you ever want to just feel happy, go take a look at the life of Jennifer and her family. It will make you feel good about life.

Merry Month of May!

There is something about Spring that is so happy. The weather is getting so nice. Flowers are everywhere. Trees are beautiful. What's not to love about sunshine and flowers? Here in California, we have had a very warm week. I was in San Francisco for a mini trade show and it was in the 80's. That's unheard of in the bay area. When we drove home down through the central valley, we stopped for gas and it was 101 degrees! What a surprise when we got out of the cool car into what felt like a furnace!

I met with lots of scrapbook stores at my mini show and they are really excited about card making. It is a great segway into scrapbooking. If you are new to crafts, cards are fun and don't take too long. If you try scrapbooking first, you might be intimidated and not venture further into crafts. Try cardmaking first. Just put your toe in and test the waters. You won't be sorry. Sit down today and make a card. How about one for Mother's Day? Or just a card for the month of May? It's so easy (especially if you use stickers) and so much fun! Once you start you will want to make more. But for today, it's a good way to feel merry in the merry month of May!
