Bouncing Baby Ella

I have known Angie Lucas for some time and I have always enjoyed her. She is so funny, clever and talented. I love to read her blog and to follow her Twitter.

When Simple Scrapbooks closed up shop, I knew that it would not be too long before Angie and her friends would find something interesting to do and they have. Welcome to Ella Publishing, an online scrapbooking magazine that is so worth exploring. Now, have you ever explored an elephant? Browsing around Ella is a treat. The website is beautiful and so much fun to use and the content is fresh and interesting. And I love that the website has a sense of humor. Take a look:

Check out Ella and see if you don't agree with me that Ella is a nice addition to our scrapbook community. Who says you can't have an elephant in the room? She is very sweet and I know that you are going to like her too!

Here's wishing Angie and her pals all the luck in the world with her new venture. Welcome to the world of small business owners. It is a good world and you're going to like it here.

Celebrating 30 Years - Happy Birthday SRM!

When I began my business in 1979 I had no idea where it was all going. I am the daughter of an inventor and I am blessed with his inventiveness and with his business values. For that, I am grateful.

I began my business making pens and pencils. It is a far cry from scrapbooking, but really all of my products have had a lot in common. My products have always made people happy. As I developed my product line over time, I navigated towards stationery and ultimately stickers. That brings me to scrapbooking. I began to notice in the mid 1990's that stores in Utah were buying every sticker that we made. I decided that the scrapbooking industry looked a lot more interesting than the gift industry, and the rest is history.

I love my work. I love my customers and I love the people that have helped to make us successful for 30 years. If I had to name what has made SRM what it is today I would have to say the people: Laura, Mary, John, Flabiano, Travis, Jennifer, all of my dedicated sales reps and especially my wonderful customers. Without any of you, we would not be here today. So grab yourself a piece of cake and join the party!

Happy Birthday to us... and many more!
